Happy Haunting - DT project for The Piece by Piece

I can't let October go by without a little Halloween project, right? So I dug deep into my Halloween stash and found this little witchy shoe/candle holder that I purchased last year on clearance at Big Lots. It was missing some items and I think in the end I paid like a nickle for it. What a bargain! I altered one of these witchy shoes last year for my good friend Janice, and so my mind was working and I thought this year I needed to bling this baby up and go way over the top... and that's exactly what I did! I used some more fabulous goodies from thepiecebypiece.etsy.com. Go there quick, pick up this wickly cool skeleton cameo and Gothic frame. They are a must have for your Halloween project.  Dentell Rachel Lace in Black, Scary yet beautiful cameo and the Gothic Frame. Boo!

Design Team Project for The Piece by Piece

Well I got my design team package from The Piece by Piece etsy store and all I can say is WOW! The trim, the lace,  the resin pieces are all to DIE for! Here are a few of the things I created with these amazing items from thepiecebypiece.etsy.com.
I have a co-worker that is having a baby boy and I wanted her to have something that she could use after she opened the gift, so I created this unique gift/keepsake box. Here are the items that I used; "onies" chipboard,  the Gothic frame in ivory, elegant blue trim by Webster's pages and the birds nest in blue. One of the things I love about this box is the paper in the frame is removable and she will be able to put a picture of her baby in the frame.

I also created a very cute Tea Bag gift box for another friend. This is one of my favorite pieces. The items I used: Teapot chipboard, French guipure lace in grey, Venice lace in mocha and the rectangle ribbon sliders.

An altered box!

We alter boxes all the time. Cigar boxes, paper mâché boxes and tin boxes, it's nothing new and neither is mine. :) But this box turned out so beautiful that I had to share. My hubby got a very nice piece of jewelry from his job for his 5 year anniversary. The jewelry was in this very nice box, I didn't even thing twice about it, until he asked if I wanted it! Oh my, how could I refuse! Here's what I altered...
